Discover Alentejo offers the visitor the chance of experiencing the beautiful region of Alentejo, rich in history and costumes, with our guided tours, accommodation, gastronomy and wine. We are encouraged by the enthusiasm and fascination of a land where the oldest European border stands, holding the memory of different costumes and civilizations throughout the centuries. We are a multidisciplinary team that will tell you stories of this immense legacy, stored in the landscapes, places and flavours.

Elvas world heritage tours
Elvas, classified in 2012 as a World Heritage Site by Unesco, has the largest and best preserved terrestrial fortifications in the world. Together they represent one of the best examples of the first Dutch military architecture tradition. But Elvas has much more, with an age-old occupation, has been the scene of a multicultural coexistence, persisting until today a rich Islamic and Jewish heritage, in addition to the contemporary.

Alcamim Apartments
Stay with us in Elvas at the apartments of Casas de Alcamim. The building, from the beginning of the 19th century, was recently restored and modernized, retaining much of its original features. The kitchen or kitchenettes are fully equipped; rooms are spacious and comfortable and all divisions of the house are equipped with air conditioning. They are located on the main pedestrian street of the town of Elvas, in the heart of the Historic Center, about 150 meters from the main square.
